ZALANDO / BERLIN, GERMANY / 2018 – 2022 / GLOBAL CREATIVE DIRECTION – ART DIRECTOR
At Zalando I created and art directed visual content across 20+ markets for Europe’s leading online platform for fashion and lifestyle. Working within the Global Marketing Communication & Creative department, me and my team drove the creative direction and consistency throughout all of our touch points. My role consisted primarily of consulting on campaign concepts, look and feel, art buying, casting and joining forces with the agency partner’s internal creative team. Being on the client side, I was in the unique position to be able to give feedback on high level decisions and shape the output to fully deliver creative excellence, ensuring a cohesive asset creation and a consistent brand narrative across all of our products and channels. From conceptualization through production and deployment. During my time in the global creative department, I worked yearly on a handful of multimillion euro brand campaigns, each one including thousands of customer-facing assets both digital and physical.

RECOMMENDATIONS

I  have had the joy and satisfaction of working successfully with Andrei Khashan during his internship at Droga5 in New York City, an internship that was extended because of out exceeded expectations. In my capacity as creative director on Hennessy I’ve personally witnessed Andrei’s great creative thinking, cooperative spirit, and extreme dedication. Andrei works collaboratively with his colleagues and has developed a close working relationship with his intern partner. Together, they have contributed with several great ideas to the rebranding of Hennessy VS - a massive multimillion dollar campaign including tease, launch and sustain elements across all media.

Additionally, I have found Andrei to be eager to learn, listening to others opinions with interest, offering his own suggestions, and demonstrating a sincere willingness to try beating what’s currently on the table. Andrei has a pleasant, easy-going disposition, is fun to be with at both professional and social gatherings. He will fit in comfortably with a team of professional ad people who are serious about their work but also know when it is the right time to joke and relax. His creativity is a well-balanced blend of fresh ideation, digital savvyness, great visual aesthetics, and side interests like photography. I give my full endorsement of Andrei Khashan’s great potential, talent and devotion with high praise.
—  JOAKIM SAUL, CREATIVE DIRECTOR, DROGA5 NEW YORK.
I have worked with Andrei on multiple occasions pre-advertising, during school and at Droga5 [on the Puma account]. I had the pleasure of following his progress, from being a little geeky graphic designer, helping me out with posters, to getting accepted at Miami Ad School and develop into a 365 creative. He’s thinks big, bigger than the brief. And I sincerely believe he’s better than many people working in this industry after only one year in school. Please do not hire him, since I’m planning to do so in a few years.
— ERIK HÖGFELDT, CREATIVE DIRECTOR, DROGA5 NEW YORK.
Andrei’s drive and will to go beyond the brief make him a great fit for the new direction advertising must take; ideas that speak to the business problem. This together with his storytelling abilities make him a force to be reckoned with as he gains further experience along the way to his ultimate goal.
